What does the name "Rhapsody Recruiter" mean?
Rhapsody Recruiter is an ancient Greek word for a great net that takes everything in its path. Commonly used in fishing and hunting, it literally means to "cast a wide net."

What is an "Employer?"
A hiring authority or recruiter within a company, corporation or organization.

What is a "Recruiter?"
A professional search consultant that works independently or with a search firm in the staffing industry.

Do I have to pay a fee to register and open an account with Rhapsody Recruiter?
No. Registration is free to employers and recruiters. Recruiters never pay fees. Employers only pay fees in the event of a successful hire.

How do I register?

What is a Rhapsody Recruiter 'Account Manager' and what are their responsibilities in working with employers and candidates?
Account Managers are central points of contact between employers, recruiters and candidates. They facilitate and manage the full-cycle hiring process from candidate submission to job start.

Does a candidate have to give their permission to be submitted to Rhapsody Recruiter through a search firm?
Yes. Per Rhapsody Recruiter's Terms of Service the Recruiter must obtain the Candidate's permission to be submitted to the Rhapsody Recruiter system.

As an Employer, what are the benefits of using this site?
As an Employer you will be able to search a database of top-tier talent. Rhapsody Recruiter Candidates have been pre-screened by professional recruiters for consistent work histories, educational achievements and applicable work experience.

What are my responsibilities as a registered Employer with Rhapsody Recruiter?
Employers are responsible for adhering to Rhapsody Recruiter's Terms of Service Agreement and working closely with their assigned Account Manager throughout the hiring process.

Is there a placement guarantee to the Employer? If so, how does that work?
Yes. There is a 90-day placement guarantee as outlined in the Rhapsody Recruiter Terms of Service Agreement providing the invoice is paid promptly.

I am a professional recruiter, why should I submit my best candidates to this site if I can make more money marketing them on my own?
Many candidates work with multiple recruiters to get exposure to additional opportunities when conducting their job search. The Rhapsody Recruiter system is designed to enhance your ability to provide broad market access to your candidates thereby increasing your potential to make successful placements.

What happens if a recruiter attempts to submit a candidate that is already in the system?
The Rhapsody Recruiter system has built-in checks to prevent a candidate from being submitted by more than one recruiter. The recruiter that first submits a candidate to the Rhapsody Recruiter system becomes the owner of record. Therefore, it is beneficial to submit qualified candidates promptly.

As a Recruiter, what are the benefits of using this site?
Access to a broader job market for your candidates. Ability to reach new employers including premiere corporations and hiring organizations. A generous fee structure. Candidate status tools.

What happens if a candidate is hired through efforts outside of Rhapsody Recruiter?
Recruiters are responsible for keeping their candidates' information updated. If a candidate is hired outside of the Rhapsody Recruiter system, please request the deactivation of that candidate through your online profile.

What are some of the benefits to a candidate for being placed on this site?
As previously mentioned, the candidate has access to a broader job market. Additionally, the candidate and their recruiter will be working with Account Managers that are professional, highly skilled recruiters.

What are my responsibilities as a registered Recruiter with Rhapsody Recruiter?
Rhapsody Recruiter is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and trust. The Rhapsody Recruiter Terms of Service outline specific responsibilities for both recruiters and Rhapsody Recruiter. Please refer to the Terms of Service for more information.

What is the employer fee structure for placed candidates?
The fee structure is 30% of the candidate's first year base salary paid by the employer. The recruiter who first submits the candidate will receive 55% of the total placement fee.

What is the guarantee period for placed candidates?
90 days providing the employer pays the invoice promptly. If payment is not received within the agreed upon timeline the guarantee is void.

What amount of the total placement fee is given to the recruiter?
55% of the total placement fee.

At what point in the process does a recruiter receive payment for their placed candidates?
Once Rhapsody Recruiter has received payment from the employer for a particular placement the recruiter will receive their percentage within 10 business days. Checks will be mailed to the recruiter's profile address.

Why is the candidate criteria so strict in order to be eligible for submission to this site?
Rhapsody Recruiter's goal is to provide top-tier candidates with successful track records to our highly selective employer base.

Once a candidate is submitted to this site, are their any limitations or restrictions on the Recruiter in marketing or submitting the candidate to other potential employers?
No. However, according to the Terms of Service recruiters should not try to circumvent the Rhapsody Recruiter placement process on an active job order.

Once a candidate is submitted to an employer, what are the rules of ownership concerning that individual candidate?
Per the Terms of Service Agreement with the employer, the candidate belongs to Rhapsody Recruiter upon submission to the employer for a period of 18 months. The recruiter of record would still be entitled to their percentage upon successful placement within that time period.

Is it possible for Rhapsody Recruiter and Recruiters or Search Firms to be working with the same employers simultaneously?
Yes it is possible to be working with the same employers but not necessarily the same job order or opportunities. It is the Account Manager's responsibility to work with the submitting recruiter or search firm to identify and resolve any areas of conflict prior to submitting the candidate to the employer. We place a high value on our professional relationsips with our recruiters and employers.

How does a recruiter update the candidate profile?
Each registered recruiter has their own account profile page which also lists their submitted candidates and appropriate links and forms to keep the candidate information updated. You may access your profile here.

What happens to the candidate's profile when they are hired?
The candidate's profile will be updated by Rhapsody Recruiter to reflect their hire date and terms. This will remove that candidate from future searches by other employers.

How Do I change my password?
Once you have logged in, go to "My Account" which shows your account details and activity. You will see a "Chnage Password" button on that page. This will page you to a page to change your password.
